Nisa Jewelry
Nisa Jewelry at the Bay School Winter Faire

This show is one of my all-time favorites, and I always feel blessed when I’m able to end out my show-season here.   Nestled within the warm walls of the beautiful Emlen Hall, there is a lively, festive show and winter celebration going on inside.   With live music, a variety of skilled crafters from around the state, and so many people gathered, it’s sure to be a good time for all.   It is a family-friendly event, with games and activities for the kids, and yummy hot food coming out of the kitchen to warm you up while you shop.  This year’s faire will be on Sat., Dec. 4th, from 10am-5pm.   See you there!

2nd Annual Blue Hill Invitational Craft Fair

My first show of the year will be close to home, and in one of my favorite little towns.   The 2nd Annual Blue Hill Fine Crafts Show will be held at the Blue Hill Consolidated School again this year, running from Sat,. July 10th (10-6pm) to Sunday, July 11th (10-5pm).  My booth will be located in the same place as last year; in the first show room, near the stage.   I loved this show last year because it had everything going for it:  a great location, beautiful building, fantastic time of year, and such an incredible gathering of fine craftsman from across the state.   My booth seemed to be full of happy people, pleased to find such a high caliber show in town, and even more pleased at the quality of work that was presented.  I am eagerly anticipating this show, and thrilled to be bringing another fresh and exciting body of work with me.  Hope to see you there!

And here it comes- summer in Maine!

Yes, it’s almost here.   The yard sales are popping up all around, flowers have already bloomed, everything is green, and the craft shows are about to begin.   With less than a month to go now until my first show, I find myself, once again, wondering where all of that winter free-time went?  The winter passed by so slowly, with the constant promise of summer echoing in my mind, and now, well, I wish I had just a bit more time.   Time to create, now that my creative brain is buzzing again.   I admit that my best work comes under pressure, but it’s not an ideal way to work.   Never the less, I don’t question the powers that be, that drive my passion to create, and I am forever grateful for the ability and vision that bring my pieces to fruition.   Life is good, and new jewelry is emerging from my studio every day, eager to grace my show tables in just a few short weeks.  More soon….
